Sunday

Hey all,
Its been a while since we all chatted. Last I sent info was an impromptu mini-reunion in Denver. Well the weather, flu season, and family crisis put the skids on a huge gathering but I did get to spend some great quality time with my nephews in Denver and their children. Steve was visiting that weekend as well so the kids really got to spend some quality time with their grandpa. I have some fantastic pictures but... my computer is being a shit and I can't get them off my chip at the moment. Take my word for it they are FABULOUS! We went bowling it was really fun! And ate some killer chicken tostadas that Steven's wife Francis makes... YUMMM!

A week after I returned from Denver I headed to Kentucky for work it was cool. If would have been thinking we were there during the Kentucky Derby weekend, I should have stayed an extra day! Of course I couldn't be at the Derby but we had a great bar tender in the hotel that could have made a pretty good mint julip!

I spent a fantastic day with my daughter yesterday, we went shopping (I bought 2 pair of shoes!) and so that ended the 'buying' portion of shopping but we watch movies and just had a great day, it had been a long time for us to stop and smell the roses. Good lord they are sweet.

Today I thought I would get my work done to start my week but I recall saying I was going to see Aunt Judy since... Christmas eve! So I punched the address into the GPS and off I went! We had a great visit, Doug, Tracy (his wife) and the kids came over it was a great visit. Oh the funny thing was I saw on Facebook it was Doug's birthday, I walked in and said to Aunt Judy, today is Doug's bday right she looked at me like, "how in the heck did you know that!" LOL I told her facebook... that got us started on an other conversation. She looked good, her leg was bothering her she said but all in all she was fine. Still on the go still substitute teaching! I got some snapshots of them too.. ya you will see them later.

I left Sunset, and headed North toward Ogden, guess what town I pass? Roy! Who lives in Roy? Uncle Al and Aunt Jay, I had heard you don't but Aunt Jay on Sunday cause the games were on but I took a shot. Gene and Mandy were there, to watch the game and guess what! I made it just in time for dinner! Imagine that!!!! It was a nice little chat. Gene and Mandy were working on stuff for their mountain man thing they are apart of, Mandy was beading and Gene knitting or something, they are both very talented. Uncle Al and Aunt Jay looked good, Aunt Jay's table jumped out and kicked Uncle Al's toe so he is in the cute black boot but is getting around pretty good from what I saw.

I was having so much fun visiting relative I made one more stop on the way home. Aunt Mary Uncle Ricard's wife live a few blocks from me, so I stopped. She lives with Joe so I got to visit with them a bit, we looked at some old pictures I had brought over and I saw some she had on the wall. There are is a cute collage Rick made with pics of the family when they were little. I saw a beautiful one of Aunt Mary when she was young and they have one of Uncle Abe with the kids, I had never seen before! I promised to take her more pictures to look at and she said I can get copies of some of hers. I am pretty excited!

I talked to my Dad when I got home, he was well. We reminisced about red torillas, the green chilie and chile caribe he made when Aunt Clara and the girls visited and when Patsy and Gerry came over. He loves company and love to cook! When you pass thru Cortez stop by to see him he would love it! He is doing well though. Nancy and her son Andre, Mike and his wife Donna are there now with him they are helping him get little tasks done around the house, fix some shingles on the roof, put in a new kitchen faucet, take in to Sam's club to get his 'supplies'. The rest of the family is good.

In the midst of all there visits there was one theme lets try and get together! Karen and I are working on the Reunion next year in Farmington, N.M. but in the mean time we are thinking of throwing a mini get together here at a park I am thinking late May early June before everyones summer vacations kick in. I am going to get Doug Uncle Leo's and Rick, Uncle Richard's boy to volunteer to help! Hee hee they just found that out!

Well I have rambled enough.
Next post will have the pictures... I promise!
Love you all!
Take care.
Anne
